Introductions
If I may be so bold, I would love to have a specific place to learn a little about the Boulder Airsoft community. If you would like, post a little information about yourself, either airsoft related or not. Who are you and what do you like about this awesome sport we call airsoft?
My name is Matt, I am a Graduate student here in Boulder. I came to airsoft last November because it combines being outside with exercise with small unit tactics. I was a hairs' breath away from becoming a Paramedic with the intention of becoming a Tactical Medic. I chose to follow a different career path but retained my intense interest in tactics. Airsoft is a perfect outlet for me to meet cool, new people, learn tactics and have fun outside. Aside from airsoft, I am an avid backpacker and cyclist (both road and mountain). My future career will be centered around the outdoors and I am always looking for more ways and new people to play outside with.
So there is a slice of my life as it is now. Care to share a slice of yours?

Re: Introductions
My name is Chris, I live in Broomfield, and have for most of my life, but am originally from the Dallas area. I have three young children who keep me pretty busy.
I went to CU-Boulder for schooling.
2 years - Lafayette Police Cadet
10 years - Boulder County Sheriff's Office. Spent time with K-9 Unit assisting with training, Emergency Dispatch Center, DUI Enforcement, Field Training Officer, Liquor License Inspection/Enforcement, and was selected to participate in diplomatic security during the Democratic National Convention in 2008, which involved training with Metro Denver SWAT in preparing for this large event.
I have certifications, training, in Rapid Emergency Deployment involving active shooters, FEMA Incident Command (100,200,700,800), EVOC, Crisis Intervention, CSI, EMD, FTO/OJT, FBI Interview & Interrogation, RADAR/LIDAR, Intox, IED Recognition, Clandestine Laboratories, M26/X26 Taser, Police Dynamics, NHTSA CDOT SFST/HGN, CO POST, Rappelling, PPCT, Krav Maga, NRA Firearms Instructor.
From 2004-2009 I was a Squad Leader, and later Captain of Team Darkside (Paintball), an NPPL Division 3 team.
I joined the Boulder Brigade in early 2011. By the end of 2011 and the departure of the original team captain, I was appointed as the team Captain for the Boulder Brigade with the support of other team members. We currently have 14 team member positions and up to 6 Training Squad positions. All of our team members are here on the forum. You can see all team members by going to our website: www.boulderairsoft.com If you are interested in joining the team, you can review the general requirements and apply online through our website.
Myself and other Boulder Brigade members assist in the operational aspect of Boulder Airsoft LLC.
I have always viewed airsoft as an excellent training tool, but it is also a great recreational and competitive sport.

Damn...It's hard to follow you two up but here I go.
I'm Matt (RedThreat) Bravo One Squad Leader and I attended University Of Northern Colorado For Exercise Physiology and figured out I'm a total geek about the human body. I became a personal trainer and moved to Oahu for four amazing years working with 24hour Fitness then with my own company. I moved back to Colorado in February 2010 to wrap up my education and I became an Ophthalmic Technician followed soon after by becoming an Optician and now I find myself working with a practice in Golden to extend and strengthen the lives of clients from around the world. Colorado is great with the Snowboarding, Parkour, Capoiera, hiking, biking, camping, and airsoft with the Boulder Brigade & Boulder Airsoft. I got started in airsoft on Oahu and have been hooked ever since. Playing with the guys at the air national guard base on base along with random groups in the mountains are a few of my fondest memories back on the island. When we had a mil-sim op I knew the game could be brought to a whole new level and am lucky enough to have found it here in the CO with the Brigade. I live in Lakewood by Golden and am excited to be apart of some mainland airsoft madness with Boulder Airsoft. I'm all about mil-sim and realism with airsoft and the tactical side of the game makes it amazing. Well I look forward to meeting new members, shooting with, at, and being shot by all of ya.

Chris, your resume is seriously impressive. I am looking forward to meeting you and learning from you (either overtly or covertly). What did you do with the K9 unit? Were you a handler? K9 work is a closet passion of mine. I had the great pleasure of working with FRRD, Boulders K9SAR team for a year and a half when I got to Colorado.
Matt, you also have a lot going! Capoeira is incredible, I have always enjoyed watching it, though Aikido and Kendo were my arts of choice. Parkour is also sweet! I haven't practiced in a couple years but it is so much fun!
Again, really looking forward to playing with you guys.

Capoiera is not so great in a fight unless you really know what your doing (and it helps if the other guy doesn't) but I still like it. Boulder has a Parkour group/ training location. Search "Apex Fitness" for a good time.

Re: Introductions
No I was not a designated handler. I helped with training the dogs for aggression, tracking and narcotics. I also volunteered as an agitator (chew toy) at times.
Re: Introductions
My name is Tanner, I am a Boulder Brigade Operator. I have been playing Airsoft casually for close to 6 years. I have lived in Colorado all my life, I grew up in Sunshine Canyon just west of Boulder, and am currently living in Westminster. I am a bit of a tinkerer and have built up experience working on airsoft guns. I also have built and help conceptualize various props and objectives, notably the 2 free standing dish objectives, and the flag objective posts used for Operation: THROWDOWN. I fancy myself a bit of field engineer as I am often able to see discarded materials and build cover and concealment positions with them quickly.
I have Certificates from Boulder TEC in Construction Trades, and Greenhouse Management. I am a closet tactician, I enjoy Chess, Go, Risk, and all sorts of video games. You could easily call me a jack of all trades, and master of none. I wrestled in middle school, and placed 4th in the district. I also was on my middle school's quiz bowl team. I participated in the advanced sciences club at my high school, I focused on robotics and mechanics as well as being involved in quiz bowl there as well. I was part of our schools FFA club, and acted as secretary. I came away from school with a very diverse skill set, some things I excelled at were driving a Skid-Steer Loader, Small engine repair, and general trouble shooting, I also took a semester of CISCO Networking.
I worked a few jobs, I was a sales associate at Marshals in Boulder, I worked as a Field Technician in Wyoming for Weather Modification Inc., as a courtesy clerk and floral clerk at King Soopers, and as the Graveyard shift clerk at a convience store and service station. Currently I am unemployed but looking hard for something new.

If you like spring guns I got one you will love CA 870 old school reinforced internals and a spring that is harder to find than a female supermodel airsoft player who likes geeks. I think every team needs a guy like you. Eye in the sky with a gun. You my friend with good a coms system and a team to guide are worth your wait in gold.

Oh, I have a reasonable coms system, I currently carry a Motorola T9550R, and have 2 of them, plus 4 more, 2 each, Motorola T5720, and Motorola T5500. I have a good throat mic and ear bud combo that I usually use. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Hello. My name is...
...Lee [Gobbo] Langston. I am 41 years old and have been playing Airsoft for almost a year now. I find I love this sport more than paintball. I was doing semi-pro paintball in Las Vegas for a few years before I went into the Army from 1992-95. Married and love my Ares SCAR-L, but am seriously looking at the Magpul Masada.
Was on another team, but they have kind of lost motivation and most of the team has fallen into not playing. Want more info on where and when you all play and how I can get in on it!

Lee,
Typically our day events are on Sundays, however we also hold over night and multi-day events beginning Friday evenings or Saturdays.
Generally Boulder Airsoft games are held in the mountains west of Boulder near Nederland, Rollinsville and Ward. However our members also attend other groups events around the state.
Upcoming events can be found on our calendar at www.boulderairsoft.com

Fort Collins Guy
Hello all!
My name is Ryan Wise, aka SplitInfinity, aka codename WiseOwl
I was born in Aurora, Colorado but I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado when I was 6 months Old. I am 22 years old now and I have been in Fort Collins my whole life. I just graduated from CSU with a degree in Graphics Design. You can see my portfolio at http://cargocollective.com/wise Next year I am going to CSU for my masters in Computer Information Systems.
I loved playing woodland paintball until all my friends stopped playing it and I didnt have anyone to play with anymore. I sold all my paintball stuff and bought an airsoft gun once I found out about Boulder Airsoft and some other airsoft groups in the Area! I can't wait to play and get to know everyone.
Hell yeahhh

Hey, my name is Justin, and so far I've got brett beat for youngest one on hear at 16. I've always liked the military/combat style games, but started out with playing baseball. I played for 4 years, quit between middle and high school. My neighbor got me hooked on airsof a year or two ago, and within my group of kids and our neighborhood pickup games with little springers, I've been known as a marksmen. To bad when I upgraded to an AEG, I got a SMG with not a lot of range. I like to be quick and quiet on the field and taught the few guys I know that snipe how to do it affectively. I co-founded my airsoft team Warfare Operation Lethal Force (WOLF). As people who were with me at throwdown, I am very objective based, and not the kind of guy to run into the middle of a firefight, I like to stay quiet and not give away my position if I have a choice. I am glad to have met a more local group of airsofters, seeing as I live in Arvada.

Hello, My name is Peyton Weigel!
Hello my name is Peyton Weigel and i have Justin Beat for the youngest player. I am 15 years old and live in between longmont and boulder. I revived my first airsoft gun when I was 7 from my father who is a Green Beret. I didnt start playing then other than spring pistol fight. I got my first AEG when i was 10 and it was a Crossman MP5. Airsoft Is my life so i put all my money and time into this fantastic sport! I have about 14 guns and counting and try to keep them all in a well functioning state. I do some of my own tech work but not all of it. I had my droughts coming to this forum but so far i am extremely impressed and will start posting my reviews here as well as i do on ASF(airsoft Forum), I primarily play at GoAirheads but do some changes I have been wanting to look for a new field. At GoAirheads I am not the best but am within the top 10 Regular players at the field. I primarily work with CQB but can adapt if necessary. and last but not least my favorite camo is MultiCam and i go for the tactical Operator look in my load-out.
See you on the field!
See you on the field!
New kid on the forums
Well, i defenitly don't feel like i have a very good background as some you guys but here i go.
My name is Josef, I'm 18 and just out of highschool. I currently am employed by Walgreens but hopefully that isn't for to much longer as i plan to join the Army within a couple weeks to 3 months tops. I have always been intrested in the military since i was born due to the fact that my dad was a 14R. I was in the Civil Air Patrol for close to 4 years. In the Civil Air Patrol I was mostly getting qualified for Search and Rescue. Unfortunately the squadron that i was in did not want to become a search and reascue squadron and stayed mainly focused on avation. So needless to say i got out of that. i have been playing airsoft for 2 to 3 years now due to the fact i love the outdoors and the military. If you have any questions for me go ahead and message me. Thanks.

Howdy Folks,
Names Art, I go by Lex.
From Wyoming, been working/operating Wyoming Airsoft since 2002ish or so. Started out in Paintball with the Semi Pro Maryland KnightStalkers. When I came home after my tours in the Marines realized paintball wasnt so big in Wyoming sold my gear and bought my first Airsoft Rifle. Hooked every since.
Little about me. married with three kids. two girls and a boy.
Marine Infantry Corporal, with the Chemical biological incident Response Force 4th MEB (Anti Terrorism)
Police Officer for a small town of 1k people in Wyoming.
Currently the Simulation Center specialist on board Camp Guernsey, Certified Counter IED Awareness Instructor, as well as RED Team Lead. Conduct operations training in small unit tactics, weapons, C-IED Operations, COIN Operations, Marksmanship instruction. MOUT/CQB Operations.
With Airsoft I've started along the lines more of training and operations set up then actually playing. Enjoy setting up scenarios and have intent on establishing a Airsoft Tactical Training School.
Used to run and create the Airsoft Milsim Training Podcast, just didnt have the time to put out a regular podcast.
Hope to see you all on the field soon.

Hey guys, my name is Brad, but my friends call me Axe because I always smell like a cologne model apparently. Ive been into airsoft for about 2 years. Ive always been interested about millitary/war kindof stuff, luckily my parents are very supportive of it. I founded an airsoft squad called the Rocky Mountian Commando's but soon realized its not fun to play with people who are imature and dont play the game with sport. That being said i get along alot better with adults then i do with people my own age. Im 16 and I wanted to step my game up and join the Boulder Brigade but sadly the age limit is 18. Im hoping to learn as much as i can on the training squad and have as much fun as i can while airsofting. Imperiti docendi! I hope to see all of you on the field guys.....and gals!

No way! Belleview and Wadsworth'sih. Howdy neighbor! It is tough being let in to teams at 16 (especially when everyone else makes a bad name for your age) I am starting up a team and we all live about the same area. When we get some stuff together you can come out and give us a try.

Re: Introductions
I'm Tyler aka Ziet. I currently live in San Antonio (yes i know not in Colorado right now). I'm 20 and have been playing airsoft for almost 5 years. I'm currently looking to move back to Colorado and would like to get to know people in the community. Can't think of much else to put here at the moment so if you want to know something just ask.
Thanks Shifty for the VFC M-16.
