I'm Tyler aka Ziet. I currently live in San Antonio (yes i know not in Colorado right now). I'm 20 and have been playing airsoft for almost 5 years. I'm currently looking to move back to Colorado and would like to get to know people in the community. Can't think of much else to put here at the moment so if you want to know something just ask.

Thanks Shifty for the VFC M-16.

I am friends with one of the executives with Magpul, who actually is on our forum here. Who were your instructors, and which training facility did you attend?

^ Well all of that was intense.^ I remember all this happening on ASCO but man you did a way better job of putting all the info together for the banned spot. If you are going to pretend to be apart of the military or a certain branch taht you are not apart of, don't post it on a site for a sport that is heavy Military simulation which of course brings REAL army veterans to it that love the adrenaline and the comradeship. Some people make me sick!

Howdy Everyone,

My name is Eric, and I'm 39. I live in Loveland, and work at Oracle in Broomfield. I'm an engineer by trade, and a nerd in my spare time. I served in the Navy as a Sonar Technician. I think Airsoft is a great sport, and it helps keep kids off the X-Box for a little bit. I'm currently just the technical guy for frontrangeairsoft.com which is my son's site. Dice stumbled across us and has opened up a great line of communication. Twitch has been extremely helpful with some of the information he has provided. I can speak for everyone at FRA when I say that they are really looking forward to meeting you guys. A lot of the members are younger, but they are serious about airsoft, and are well behaved individuals.

Once again, thanks for making contact, and we look forward to helping build a positive reputation for the airsoft community.

Introductions - Page 2 Empty Hi everyone

Post by Abacus October 25th 2011, 22:12

My name is Abacus, I've been playing AS since, well, I started about 1985 (that doesn't make me good, just old). Then I went to paintball, then I went to what you folks refer to as "Real Steel", I'm a competitive shooter, but I can't do that year round, so I came back to AS. And I've been having a great time doing it. I usually play down south with the ASCO guys and they are great, but I live in Northglenn, so I'd like to meet some people to play with on the North side of town.

My presence on the field is a very British one, all of my weapons, kit and uniforms are MOD.

Cheerio,

Abacus

Post by Priest November 22nd 2011, 15:02

Hi Everyone my callsign is Priest but my name is Riley!

I've live in Colorado my whole life and have been playing airsoft for about four years now. I am part of frontrangeairsoft.com and am working on trying to get the word about airsoft out there for everyone so that everyone can enjoy it. I am, sorry, was squad leader of the airsoft team Element. We are a young group that hopefully has huge potential to become a really good airsoft team! I am armed with the Hand of God, a custom made m4 with 1200 dollars worth of custom parts inside it including a new X-tech pisiton, and a Madbull black python inner barrel. Both of these parts I put in myself. I hope that I can meet all you Boulder guys and play airsoft with you soon!

John, it doesn't sound like it's "their" attitude that is the problem. I hope you get over it, I wouldn't want to take the field with someone with an attitude like yours.

@Brown Magic & Abacus - This forum is not here to lay out attacks on anyone, take it somewhere else.

@Brown Magic - The sentiment you express in your message is one I have heard many many times from players frustrated with other local groups, primarily the group you mentioned. It is clear you are also frustrated and looking for change. I hope Boulder Airsoft can bring the change you are looking for. We are welcoming to new players, and our goal is for everyone to have a good time.

You can find upcoming events on our home page calendar located at: http://www.boulderairsoft.com
They are also located under the subject Boulder Airsoft Events here on the forum.

If you have questions or concerns you can contact me directly. My email address is below.

Guys - No worries, I don't mind having a healthy constructive debate about things, but we also don't need to start any bickering, or for things to get personal on the forum which could later lead to issues boiling over onto the field. Everyone is here to have a good time and have fun playing, and ultimately that is what we want to see happening.

I know many of you have expressed your frustrations at one time or another concerning another group and some of their teams, but I would rather we focus that toward exploring how we can better serve all of our players.

Our admin's (myself, Coyote-Matt Cavanaugh, and TheRedThreat-Matt Rodgers) are always open to your questions, comments, concerns and suggestions about how we can improve on your overall experience at Boulder Airsoft events. Don't be shy to PM a suggestion, as many of our long time players can attest to, we are very open to it, and often incorporate your suggestions.

Hello,

My name is Eric, Call sign Mechanic.
I am probably the Old man of this Forum, 52 years old. I am Divorced, Father of two wonderful Daughters.
I moved to Colorado from AZ, 4 years ago to find work thanks to this economy. Live in Lakewood, Work in AuroraI am a Mechanic, Auto, Diesel, Heavy Equipment and Over road Trucks. I also do Remodel work on the side as a business.
I am into Backpacking, Camping, and Cycling (both Road and Mountain) ((Including Free ride and Down Hill)). I have 6 years Airsoft experience in Arizona, I sold my Gear and Weapons back there. Got bored here and started re acquiring gear and weapons to start playing again. I am also on the ASCO Forum as Battle Master, Starting my own team. I have not had a chance to Play with ASCO because their games are on Saturday's which I work And they usually only give 12 hour lead time on announcements. I came to your Forum because I heard you have frequent Sunday games. Which works great for me. I still need to pick up some radio's.
I am an AS weapons freak. I love having a variety of weapons.

Welcome to the forum. Your list of guns sounds interesting but I bet the truly interesting aspect of your guns is in their function and how they are tailored to your play style. I look forward to meeting you at our next game and learning from your Arizona airsoft experience. On a side note March 30- April 1st I'm looking to head over to Arizona for the Route 66 game there that Lions Claws will be putting on... when I find out where the AO will be I will want to pick your brain for info on the sight, weather conditions that time of year, fps increase in AEG's and Gas guns in Arizona as compared to Colorado, and a few other questions and Arizona airsofter could help out with.

Thank you,
Yes I noticed the AO is not listed yet. Let me know what stretch of 66 when you find out,
10-18 March I will be doing "Operation East wind V"
The altitude does make a difference on FPS to a degree on AEG's. But a bigger difference on the Gas guns The heat there definitely helps also. Watch for snakes and Scorpions and Black widows that time of year. Weather will have a lot of variation depending on where it will be in AZ. Down in the "Valley of the Sun" rain is scarce most years. The last 12 years or so cold is too. Average temps that time of year are pushing into the 100's With night temps in mid 60's to low 80's. If the AO is in the mountains then there may still be some residual snow on the ground with high 80's to mid to high 90's day temps going as low as 60's occasionally highs in the low 100's, Night temps in Mountains that time of year can dip down as low as 50's, Again depends on area.
Let me know when AO is announced and I will let you know more.

Welcome to Boulder Airsoft. It sounds like you have a lot figured out at a very young age. I look forward to seeing you at one of our events and putting a face to the name. If you want to know more about creating and running an airsoft field I would chat with John (screen name TallerThanStalin) who has helped opened fields in California and intends to open one here in Colorado at some point. Mechanical minds do very well in this game and it is always nice to add another one into the mix. Once again welcome and feel free to make your voice heard.

Post by Dutch February 25th 2012, 11:59

Reading through the intros today, and noticed that I did not have one posted.

My name is Ted Gies, AKA Dutch on the field. I have been in airsoft for a little over 18 months now. In my home state of Nebraska, I spent more than a healthy amount of time in the Muzzleloading Rendevous scene, and became a 3-time amateur shooting champion. I have been around weapons since I was born, and my family members are avid hunters.

I tried paintball a few times, but it didn't have the feel of a real weapon I was looking for, and more often than not, the fields were dominated with shall we say, "superior attitudes" and God-complexes. I found out about airsoft from a co-worker, and was hooked immediately.

Originally, I was a founding member of SDS Airsoft in Aurora, but after attending a couple games with the Brigade, SDS decided to apply to the team.

I was placed in Bravo Squad under Matt Rodgers, AKA RedThreat. Bravo Squad was my assigned squad for a length of time, and I eventually became NCO for Bravo. Recently, I was promoted to Commander of the team, and I hope to continue to be a positive force for my fellow Brigadiers.
