Re: Introductions
Hello all (new applicant here)
My name is Dustin Morris, I am 28, I currently live in Aurora and am looking to move up to Westminster area, next month. I am a former Marine 0311, 2/7 Weapons company. I was a dismount driver for weapons, carrying the M249 with a Beretta 9mm, loved every minute of it. I heard about you guys and decided to apply to the team (after getting the green light from my significant other of course). I have a fiance and two beautiful kids one 2 year old boy and one 5 year old girl. I love being out doors, avid hunter and fisherman. I am now a CNC Machinist and can make most anything out of metal or plastic. Hope you all kill it at BH6 next weekend and hope I get to meet you all soon.

Scary T,
Thanks man, still waiting on a reply from my application but I imagine your leader had bigger fish to fry this week. Let me know when your next training is when you get a chance along with the location (if I'm accepted). Also, don't have gear yet but will be looking into buying June or August, so I may need to borrow someones gear. Hope all is well.

Mike,
Thanks man, figured I'd be pro active and start to get to know the guys. Pretty interesting the characters they have had in brigade, I was just reading the stolen valor section. Sad there are people out there like that. You're Sara's Mike correct?

Re: Introductions
Dustin,
Welcome to the forum. One of our other team members who handles personnel will be in contact with you about your application.
To answer your question above we are structured into a 12 man team, consisting of leadership and two fire teams. We presently also have room for a few reserve team members. At the national events we travel to the normal squad size is for 12, and that's the capacity for our transport/gun truck as well.
Right now is a busy time for the team and for leadership, although we will be in touch with you, I do see your application in our file. Daniel, who handles incoming personnel, has had a busy week and I've been pushing a lot of information to him regarding our upcoming trip, please just be patient.
If you have questions, let us know and one of us can help out!

Welcome to the forum. I know you submitted an application with us a while back, and I look forward to meeting you once you get back home. We will be training on July 23rd as well. If you're back and settled by then, I would encourage you to attend. All the info will be inside the Brigade team section, just keep an eye on that.
In the mean time if you have any questions please post them up and someone will get back in touch with you!

Re: Introductions
Hello (New Applicant),
My name is Jai and I am a current college student. I shall be moving to Arvada in three weeks from East Tennessee. I have a fiancée that shall be coming as well as my two huge dogs (NewFoundland and GoldenDoodle). I shall be attending Colorado Mountain College and she will be attending The University of Colorado Demver. I am younger individual from what I can tell from seeing online images of the team. Age does not faze me though and I comquer anything put in front of me. I’ve been playing airsoft for a decade now and have enjoyed every bit of it. I also was on another team here in East Tennessee by the name of Ruthless Milsim. The guys on the team knew a ton about the sport and have close acquaintances with the professionals at Wolverine Airsoft. My game play was always a rusher (In Tennessee only CQB fields really) and provided information to my teammates where the enemies will go and are going to. I cannot wait to meet some of you guys and hopefully later have a role on the team.

Jai,
Welcome to the forum! I am also a Colorado transplant and believe that Colorado is one of the best places in the country to live.
You're correct there are some old farts on the team; I'm one of them. Of our current team members the ages range from 22 - 43. 7 of our 12 are over 30.
Keep in contact. If you have questions do not hesitate to ask.
I look forward to meeting you.

Re: Introductions
Will,
Welcome to the forum!
I'm impressed. I'm also a KWA fan but I'm not sure what I would do with 27 of them. Of my KWA's I have one RM4 and two CQR rifles. I previously had an SR-10, but sold it a few years back. The durability of the KWA is hard to beat.

Re: Introductions
Hello,
I was informed by a computer to introduce myself, so here I am. I am Richie, and am looking to get into Airsoft. As lame as it was when it came out, it seems to have vastly surpassed paintball. The realism is insane. Anyways, I am likely going to try out for the team apparently around the end of September. If anyone has any recommendations for a gun to buy, that would be very helpful.
I have honestly only played once, and only for about 10 minutes that one time. My paintball buddy had like 8 spare M16 style guns so I used one of those. It had a few upgrades as far as internals went, or personal tweeking, but it was great. Looking for good deals on a good gun. If I remember correctly I don't need a gun to try out, but still a good idea to get an idea of what I want.
Anyways, Nice to meet you all. Hope to meet in person in the future. It has also been a bit since I applied, so if you could let me know what else I will need, that would be great.
Thanks and have a great day,
Richie

Re: Introductions
Richie,
Welcome to the forum!
My name is Chris Nielson, I am the team leader for Brigade Milsim.
Airsoft and Milsim have definitely grown into their own unique animal. There is a huge underground following. Our team just came back from an event in Playas, New Mexico in which there were roughly 500 people on site. Lots of good photos and videos from the event are being posted. We have a few up on our page: https://www.facebook.com/brigademilsim
As you are an applicant, I will get you access to our team section and the Operators Handbook shortly. This will help you prepare.
In terms of purchasing gear, hold off. We have A LOT of extra equipment that you can try out and get a feel for before you start investing money into something.
If you have any questions along the way please let me know.
