Forum Function
Last night I received a PM from a newly registered user saying the Forum would not let him post, and he received an error message.
1. I'm able to post this message, so I'm not sure what wasn't working then which is working now.
2. No new errors are showing in the system log.
3. I have sent a request to this user requesting more information to try to narrow down the potential source of the issue.
Have any of you experienced errors or any other bizarre behavior from the forum? We want this to be as user friendly as possible, if you encounter problems or have suggestions, please don't hesitate to speak up.

Re: Forum Function
I have actually. Any time I post a reply, start a new topic and try to read PM's on my desktop (Win 7 Pro 64-bit, AMD Phenom 9500 2.20GHz, 8GB Ram, Internet Explorer most recent and up to date version) Oddly, I do not encounter the issue using my Netbook (XP pro SP3, Intel Atom processor 1GB, Chrome most rect updated version)
The specifc issue is that the editing window and previous history is crushed into a column of single word or letter width, which makes reading, difficult.

Re: Forum Function
Ok, I will look into that. If you can capture a screen shot of it doing this and email it to me, that may help.
I never run IE, as I hate waiting for it to load (takes forever on all of my machines) so I use Chrome instead. I did just check our stats and about 22% of our visitors use some version of IE, so its definitely worth looking into.
Of our visitors in 2011:
Chrome: 36.6%
Mobile Browsers: 29.6%
Internet Explorer: 22.2%
Firefox: 8.0%
Safari: 3.0%
Others: .6%

Re: Forum Function
I have one as well. On both of my computers that run windows 7 and IE most updated version, I can only post a reply through the quick reply and I can't even post a new topic at all.

I remember seeing a bulletin about this a while back. Have you tried clearing cookies / cache?
Are the problems only with IE or the other browsers as well?

Re: Forum Function
Ok, so likely an IE problem. I will contact the programmers and see if this is a known issue or something they are working on fixing.
Re: Forum Function
They are aware of the problem, and it doesn't sound like they are planning on fixing it anytime soon as their response basically said, there will never be 100% compatibility with all browsers due to differences in functionality. If you experience difficulty, use a different browser.
