Vietnam (kinda) Loadout

Looking good so far. Can't wait to see it in action

I can't see the load out well in that picture, but make sure your magazines are positioned for quick access by your weak hand.

Also, treat the gun as if it is always loaded, and, always keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target and ready to fire. Safety first.

the ALICE gear you have is about right, during Vietnam, a lot of things were transitional between ALICE and the older Korean-era Gear. the helmet cover you have is from the 80's, right before the kevlar helmet was introduced, you would want to go with "mitchell camoflauge" http://www.kamouflage.net/camouflage/00279.php for that. also, the way the LBE (load bearing equipment/suspenders) is mean to be set up, is magazine pouches on the front of your hips, and canteen and e-tool on the back like so:http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=vietnam+alice+gear&view=detail&id=53D3ED6C3B96CBC76E7FF21A7427F51B0343A0F4&first=1

if you can, try and go to a flea market. you would be amazed at how many random people just happen to have vietnam era military gear
