So I have ordered a new part, but wanted to get the gun operational in the mean time.
Seeing as the sector gear clip is roughly the thickness of a nickel, I took a nickel, drilled two holes into it, and then used a bench grinder to shape my replacement part. I then filed down the edges, and installed it (a perfect fit). I ran about 250 rounds though the gun, took it apart again to make sure the part was holding and not causing any noticeable damage, and everything looked great. Runs just like it did with the original part.
