I'm trying to replace my current stock trigger guard but am not exactly sure how to remove the pin at the back. Do I just need to just use a punch to drive it out or is there a special tool or technique? I've tried to punch it out but don't want to force it too hard in case this is the wrong method, basically lightly tapped on it for a bit. Either way please let me know, highly looking forward to replacing that stock trigger guard!
Thanks as always!
I'm guessing if you need a punch it is a roll pin, is that correct?
Some guns require a bit of force, I know you have to remove the roll pins out of the ACR to get to the hop-up. To do that it takes a punch, a hammer and a few swear words, but that's just the way it was designed.
The biggest thing with roll pins is to make sure you are using the correct size punch that you're not going to bulge the roll pin by slipping inside of it, or make the hole bigger where the roll pin needs friction to stay in place.
Thanks again! Time to give it a few swift blows...
