DMZ 08/20/2011 After Action Review
DMZ 08/20/2011 AAR
Date: 8/20/2011
Location: DMZ Airsoft, Colorado Springs
Summary:
Boulder Brigade arrived at this location with the entire 9 man team on site.
The day consisted of multiple pick up style games such as “Push Back,” “Force on Force” and “Bank Robbery.”
Boulder Brigade was a dominant force at the event, at one point all other players were teamed against just the Boulder Brigade, for two scenarios. Boulder Brigade was successful in both scenarios, only suffering one loss during the two scenarios.
Game Details:
Push Back:
During this scenario, one team began inside the building, securing their locations. The opposing force then must push into the building to secure it and force the enemy further back into the complex. There were numerous issues with this scenario, eventually the staff intervened and terminated the scenario. One player was offered a “bang bang” kill, but decided to fire on the other team. At that point he was shot multiple times, but multiple players. He then became upset to the point of throwing a table over and raising his weapon like an axe, holding it by the barrel end, as if he were wanting to strike someone.
Force on Force:
Boulder Brigade, along with other players, played a force on force scenario. The teams were evenly matched (17 on 17). The team, led by Brigade members was quickly victorious.
Bank Robbery:
Scenario: 4 unarmed bank tellers in the building. 1 armed security guard. The security guard may only fire on a threat, or armed person entering the area of operation.
Objectives:
A team of ‘Bank Robbers’ must enter, eliminate the guard, take the tellers hostage, and escape with at least 2 hostages and the cash bags.
‘Law Enforcement’ must enter and eliminate the Bank Robbers and save the hostages.
Respawn:
None, you’re hit, you’re dead. You shoot a hostage, you’re dead.
Parameters:
90 seconds after the bank robbery has started, the initial ‘Police’ arrive. This is approximately 2/5 of the team.
90 seconds after the ‘Police’ enter, the next 2/5 of team members ‘SWAT’ enter the scenario.
After 10 minutes into the scenario ‘Special Ops’ final 1/5 of the team enters the scenario.
Scenario 1:
17 ‘Bank Robbers’ vs. 9 Boulder Brigade Operators + 1 staff as ‘Law Enforcement’
The bank robbers entered and took hold of the bank.
Boulder Brigade Alpha Squad was designated to make the initial entry, and entered the bank quickly progressing inward. Numerous ‘Bank Robbers’ began walking out as they had been killed by Alpha Squad.
Boulder Brigade Bravo Squad entered 1:30 into the scenario and began assisting Alpha Squad.
At just over 6 minutes into the scenario, all 17 ‘Bank Robbers’ had been killed, or had surrendered to Boulder Brigade and the hostages were in custody and safely escorted from the bank. Boulder Brigade suffered only one loss during the scenario.
Scenario 2:
9 Boulder Brigade Operators as ‘Bank Robbers’ vs. 17 ‘Law Enforcement’
Boulder Brigade members formulated a plan in which a single member, Squad Leader Matt Rodgers (TheRedThreat) would enter the bank. SL Rodgers was to locate, identify the security guard, eliminate him, and Operators would secure the bank.
SL Rodgers entered, followed by Bravo Squad quietly holding a position well behind SL Rodgers. Alpha Squad held rear guard during the initial movement. SL Rodgers was able to locate the ‘Security Guard’ and make a knife kill upon him. While specifics regarding tactics used by Boulder Brigade will not be divulged, it was a great success.
SL Rodgers loudly announced a “bank robbery” was occurring at which point Bravo Squad came out from behind barriers, and quickly stormed the teller station, taking all 4 hostages down, and placing them to the ground in a corner.
Brigade Operators were strategically positioned to prevent successful penetration by ‘Law Enforcement’ responding to the bank robbery.
As ‘Law Enforcement’ attempted to enter the bank, only one member was successful in gaining entry, making it only feet before being eliminated. The entire ‘Law Enforcement’ force was eliminated, while Boulder Brigade suffered no losses.

As was mentioned above with the disorderly and threatening conduct of a player. It was caught on camera by one of our helmet cameras. If you are caught doing this at a Boulder Airsoft event, you will be banned from future events. Your name, photo and behavior will be posted to the forum and website.
We want to see good sportsmanship on the field.
