Re: plate carrier vest
Ok, so first, no not all have the flaps to adjust the sides, but most decent carriers do have a way to adjust the sides so it fits properly.
You'll see a lot of options at team training on the 18th, so feel free to ask to check out some of the rigs the guys are currently using.
Here are a couple of the vests that our team members currently use:
5.11 TacTec: http://www.evike.com/products/45188/
Condor Exo: http://www.evike.com/products/42679/
USMC Ciras: http://www.evike.com/products/27758/
All of the above use the front flap system to adjust side tension and fit. - Getting your vest adjusted just right to where it is functional and comfortable can be a bit of a trial and error process, but again, our guys can help you a bit with this.
