Upgrades for G36

Post by Der Affe (Dice) on June 28th 2011, 22:04

I have a JG G36c and I want to put some upgrades to it! What would be some good cheap ones to start off with?

Inexpensive upgrades

Post by Dutch on June 28th 2011, 22:51

Affe,

A great place to start is a tight-bore barrel. They generally run anywhere from 30-45 bucks, and will give you an increase in range and a tighter grouping. Other upgrades to consider are a magwell changeout. This will allow you to accept M4/M16 magazines in your G36, instead of buying G36 mags. I find this to be a good idea if everyone else in your squad is running M4s or other M4/M16 mag capable weapons. If you run out, a squadmate can toss you a mag and keep your entire squad shooting. These generally run about 25 bucks. Other performance upgrades would include a new hop-up bucking ($10-$15), high-speed or high-torque motors($20-45), and a larger capacity battery($25-50).

For the batteries, don't forget to check out http://www.hobbypartz.com/ they have GREAT prices on batteries that will work well. Especially with that foregrip battery storage. Another Idea though its more of what you might consider a cosmetic upgrade is a decent optic. That does depend on how you play though, so that is a personal decision.

Thanks folks. I know fox has a upgrade kit that involves three diff things for $70 I know a tight-bore is involved. We will go from there. It was tough listening to my stock gun firing while all of your were. Mine "tunk....tunk...tunk" and then yours "tunktunktunktunktunk" lol

Swapping out barrels and hop up buckings isnt hard work. If you look around on youtube, you could save yourself a lot of money by doing it yourself. As for upgrades, a good bucking and nub can help your range an accuracy a lot more than a tightbore barrel. A barrel that is well made is more important than one with a smaller inner diameter
