Dynamic Information Representation Tool

Post by Tango on June 1st 2011, 19:44

I always keep a pen and paper with me in the field, but like most everything except spare mags and side arms, they take a little bit of time to get out and ready, but this tool far surpasses tedious pen and pad in its readily accessible form. Here is the skinny on it;

Dynamic Information Representation Tool

  • DIRT provides ubiquitous, omnipresent, low-bandwidth C2 (training) environment.

  • Extensible reuse and transportability - fully leverages "Etch-A-Sketch" technologies.

  • Enables face-to-face collaboration.

  • Unsurpassed, tether free electrical power requirements.

  • Currently prepositioned all across the planet earth.

  • Cost - "Cheap as Dirt"

  • Program Status: 20-year AoA initated by U.S. defense industries ... on going.

I thought I would throw this up here to remind everyone to look around you. We can have all kinds of crazy awesome gear but most of the time the people that have been making war the longest just utilize what they have on hand, and sometimes, okay, most of the time that means doodling out strategy in the DIRT. Wink
